Counting from... 100 untill 1000 !!!

Hello Dutch-Learners!

In this short tutorial (really short!); I will explain to you how you can now, with previous knowlegde from 1 to 100, count from 100 up to 1000.

To logic that was used has to be altered a little bit:
100 = Hundred = Honderd

Now --> to get 134, you will, with previous knowledge, expect something like this: Vierendertigenhonderd. Though this is a logical case, though not correct.

The correct answer should be: honderdvierenderting (yes, all in 1 piece)!

As you can see, between the Dutch word "honderd" (= hundred) and the Dutch word "vier" (= four), there is no "en" (= and).

Here's the list to do this up to 1000.
200 = Tweehonderd
300 = Driehonderd
400 = Vierhonder
500 = Vijfhonderd
600 = Zeshonderd
700 = Zevenhonderd
800 = Achthonderd
900 = Negenhonderd
1000 = Duizend

==> As you can see from this row, the numbers from 1 to 10 are in fact the first words of the number! "vier"honderd !!!! <--- Important!

Random examples (from here on, you could probably count already up till 1000):
497 = vierhonderdzevenennegentig
356 = driehonderdzesenvijftig
149 = honderdnegenenveertig
678 = zeshonderdachtenzeventig
904 = negenhonderdenvier <== IMPORTANT !!!!
112 = honderdtwaalf <=== ALSO IMPORTANT !!!!
634 = zeshonderdvierendertig

* Though some Dutch people will also say: zeshonderdenvierentwintig (624); though this is rare, but correct.

And according to other grammar it could also be:

vijfhonderdrieendertigduizendachthonderdENtweeenzeventig

jeez complicated language

But you should be able now to count in Dutch...

It's the same difficulty as in English... only now that I wrote the numbers out in full words pasted to eachother... just look VERY closely to the exact words! That's the key to succes!

Wow Why learn that rudiculously long word when u can just say

two hundred

two-hundred = twee-honderd.
